44" overall (1998)
Damascus steel, bronze, fossil sea cow bone, stingray skin.
The patterned
blade shows flames spewing from the viper's mouth. The butt of the grip is
the serpent's tail. The blade was forged similar to the Sagmi form, only double
edged, with a high carbon damascus core that tapers from throat to tip. The
pattern welded faces of the blade are alternating layers of medium and low
carbon steel, to absorb shock to the hard core steel.
